VIEWS

My mindset on food after finally completing this unit has changed dramatically. Before starting this unit I didn't question where my food came from, I would eat whatever was put in front of me. If nobody mentions something then you will never know, that's why we have to "STAY WOKE" like Serenah said. I believe that our country's government doesn't want us to know how our food is made in order to profit off of us. Everything in our country is related to money. Do you think they want us to know how much money is made from all the processed foods that are produced? Most of the processed foods that we consume isn't very healthy. Personally, I don't consume a great amount of processed foods, I eat pretty healthy. Since the day we watched Food Inc in class I have been pretty grossed out while eating chicken or meat. I just start to think about the process it went through to get in front of me. Like did the chicken really deserve this life? Who knows, but I'm still going to eat it. Although, I would prefer if my chicken or meat came from a natural farm like the in Food Inc. There has to be better ways for our food to be produced. Why can't we pay thousands of farmers to the the same jobs that these big corporations do but in a natural way. I guess that wouldn't make enough money for the government. I don't know these are just my VIEWS.

  1. ay lmao thanks for understanding me. You pose a really good question though. Why can't the money that goes to conglomerates be given to honest farmers instead? I never thought of it that way, but it really does make our government seem pretty selfish. If only our food was produced in a better way; we could thrive with more energy, more happiness, and more life. I guess the government only cares about the money unfortunately.
