Mindset About the Country, About the Food We Eat, and About My Conciosness
As the years go by, many people put on a different perspective on food. Their minds develop a change in their diet by eating more fruits or vegetables, or limiting their purchase of groceries or unhealthy goods from stores. Some decide to keep their views the same way every time. In my perspective, my mindset has changed the way I perceive the United States and the food we eat. In our growing population, there are millions of people worldwide who suffer from health diseases relating to food, including heart disease or diabetes. I feel that different types of food, especially ones that are high in cholesterol or high in sugar are being taken into consideration, as if the people are addicted to them every single day. The problem is the more the people get addicted to those food, the more their life is in danger. It seems as if they have reached paradise once it comes to food, and that it is all that has to be offered to them. However, there is no balance involved, and people are taking the weighing scale down the wrong direction. People are not thinking twice before they either eat something or buy something to eat, which means they are putting their own health and own money on the line between good and bad. Whenever I hear stories like this, I always thought to myself about avoiding the unhealthy food once in a while. I did not understand about it years ago, and I thought I was the only one. Now, it has still become a growing trend to the US population. I decided to consume fruits and vegetables for every meal on the table, in order to stabilize my diet, and buy junk food once a month. In doing this, I hope that I will achieve my goals to become a better and healthier person.
