Eat Organic

https://www.helpguide.org/articles/healthy-eating/organic-foods.htm

As we continue to work on this unit of Food, we have learned that foods can come from many places and can change depending on how they are grown/treated. The question is: Are all of these modified foods healthy for us? As Americans, we tend to eat out a lot, from burgers to Chinese food. These places are located everywhere and aren't expensive, so why wouldn't we eat them. Sometimes, these foods are cheaper than healthy organic foods. Step One is to eat more fruits and vegetables, but find out how they were grown and where. Eating organic fruits and meats is much better than eating food grown with pesticides and chemicals. Eat foods that are grown naturally and don't cheat the system to produce more at a quicker time. The reason companies do this is because of money, and they don't care about anything other than the money. This article helps us learn why organic foods are better than conventionally-grown produce and animals. Organic foods bring us more benefits; for example, they contain all the nutritional values that they should contain unlike foods grown with pesticides, chemicals, or GMOs. Local foods are also better because it costs less to get to your refrigerator. They won't have to be transported long distances which costs more money, and the foods are fresher. A good way to buy local foods is to go to a farmer's market. If you buy food here, all the money goes directly to the farmer instead of things like marketing and distribution. Also, farmer's markets tend to have fruits and vegetables that taste better than the ones found in stores.
