Honestly, I'm very glad to be done with this unit, it was very informational, just a lot of work in little time. My mindset of food now has definitely changed for the better, I'm much more aware of what's in my food and I enjoy sharing the knowledge. It's cool understand more of where our food comes from and how its processed and what things are used to modify our foods. In my own research project I found the connection between the food we eat and the cancer it causes which made me realize a lot of things. I began to understand that the Food Industry is predominately looked at as a business and not about what's best for consumers and so is the Hospital. I started to see, in a way that the Food industry and the hospitals work hand in hand , like a business and it's all designed to bring in money not really to help people. It amazed me through my research that the doctors and hospitals know what's in the food that's causing cancer and how they can tell the patients and help cure it but instead they leave patients in the dark letting them participate in "cures" that don't really help. Overall, I'm glad we had this unit and that we did the research project it opened my eyes to many new things.
I hoped you got really good knowledge of food than you ever know before. It is very interesting that the topic of food is so broad to research, and everything that you see and hear is so overwhelming and envious to learn about. Food is definitely not just a product, but a factor that we as humans need to value and take consideration from. Like you mentioned about the relation of food from the hospitals and doctors, these people are trying to discover new things found in food, in order to save more lives and reduce health risks.
ReplyDeleteThis research paper could actually change lives. Mostly by adjusting to different meal plans could eventually benefit your health in the long run. Also knowing this kinda kills your trust with your doctors. These are people who are supposed to help you get better but they are actually feeding the cancer to you. I don't know to me that is kind of deep.
