Online and Anonymous
* In our current unit we are wrapped around the idea of anonymous comments online, although all these anonymous aren't all bad but most of them are. Currently i have read many poems or listened to songs by people who are anonymous. They don't do these things to provoke negative attention from people, but to get there craft out without being known and feeling defeated if people don't like or approve of there work. Although doing things anonymous gives other people the opportunity to take credit for your craft, also you are still at risk of dealing with internet trolls who will always have something negative. Which may put those anonymous writers , singers, poets, rappers, and etc down but those positive anonymous people help those writers, singers, poets, rappers, and etc to want to put there name on there craft and continue to work harder on what they love.

  1. I like this because most people focus on the negative aspects of anonymous posting and you brought light to the positive aspects as well. I think that there is a lot of good coming online due to people being able to post anonymously. We get new things such as art, music, and poetry like you said along with anonymous encouragement. I can say from experience, that I've given so many new and beginning artists encouragement anonymously, and it just makes their day a little bit better. For every 10 compliments you get you'll probably get at least 1 troll, but anonymous posting is still worth it for those shy people who don't want to reveal themselves.

  2. I'm glad you brought out the positive side of anonymous posting. We should focus more on positive anonymous posting rather than negative. Focusing on the negative only gives the trolls what they want, and if we focus more on the positive and stop paying attention to the negative the trolls may stop.
