Online & Anonymous

It honestly terrifies me seeing the things that human beings are capable of doing. They let the hatred, rage, and emotions inside of them take control over what they do. Their humanity gets lost when they try expressing how they feel and harass other innocent people; in addition, the worst thing is that most internet trolls hide their identity. That really shows how cowardly they are. Why not just show the world who you really are instead of just hiding behind a screen making yourself seem like someone invincible and untraceable? Either way, whether trolls decide to hide their identity or not, what they do is utterly horrifying. I wonder, do they ever stop for a moment and think about how they would feel if they were the victim of online trolls? What would they do? Are they really that stupendously selfish?

I also strongly agree with the fact that online trolling is not the problem but a symptom of society’s problems. When someone attempts to stand up for what is right, they get harassed by all these trolls that tell them they are wrong. Especially when it comes to women breaking “gender roles.” Trolls tend to not like change and are ignorant.

Trolls are always telling the victims to get off the internet if they can't handle what they have to say. However, they could do that as well. If they don't like what someone is saying or doing, that's fine. They can simply ignore that and move on instead of creating a gigantic mess and harassing someone.
