Internet Trolls
I have gone on the internet millions of times, and it has made up about 2/3 of my life. One of my favorite things I love to do is go on YouTube, Facebook, search up interesting sites and images on Google, or even listen to songs. It is a chance for me to explore things and know anything that is going on in our city, statewide, nationwide, or internationally, but honestly, it is just a way for me to not get bored and somehow keep me occupied for as long as it takes. However, I have noticed that there are some so called internet "trolls" out there that happen to take over numerous sites that I visit. For example, on YouTube, there is a video that is titled (maybe not exactly worded correctly): "Mt. St. Helen Eruption 1980 Caught on Tape," which included a thumbnail of the volcano itself. When I clicked on it, it just showed some random pictures of the volcano before the eruption. There was no footage at all! Sometimes I click on really catchy titles or names, and when I view it, what I just saw had no correlation to what the title or name said, concluding that it is very misleading. I do not like how uploaders or site posters make such a huge impact to people surfing the internet. Yeah, some are funny, especially if it was just for fun, and no serious content was involved. But what if there are others who are busy researching something very important for a school project, and they are in such a hurry to finish it. I wonder how the student would feel when they enter a website containing dancing monkeys instead of the history of the American Civil War. You get the point. The fact is that it is just super annoying to do this. Sometimes internet trolls force people into believing things that appear to be false in real life. This is why I only post things that are reasonable and true in my belief. I have been very positive on social media, and was never the one who started a racket among my friends, and never will be! We all should too, instead of making bad comments or posting things that might hurt others. These trolls just want to be recognized and then make people angry afterwards.
