While we were reading "What Happened When I Confronted My Cruelest Troll" by Lindy West in class I began to see things that I could relate to in my own life.  For example she says, "Sure we built up significant armour at this point, but, you know, armour is heavy." This is very relatable because everyone has their own baggage and some more than others. This baggage takes continuous stabs at you and you feel attacked and having people bully you or push your buttons just adds onto the load. So while you are dealing with all that you can put up a tough front but eventually that "armour" will become too heavy or too hard to keep up and it will break. You will be exposed and the bullies won't stop it will continue and it will hurt. I know I have had my far share of times when I felt like I was being kicked when I was already down and I think thats exactly what Trolls look for when they start to prey on someone. They look for an easy target, someone who will break easily and amuse them with their suffering and anger and any other feelings that come up.

  1. Trolls or bullies aim to get a rise out of people. They try to get under your skin and see that they can hurt you. It's what they want, and once they succeed in doing so they know they can do it again and again and again they pick and pick and pick at you hoping to get a reaction because it brings them some sort of sick pleasure.
