There is Much More to Anonymous Posting
Before discussing and digging into this unit I didn't realize how anonymous posting could be such a positive impact to people on a daily basis. People use it for other reasons rather than commenting rudly to others on social media. People in society use it for asking questions for health or questions they don't really want anyone else to know but themselves. This helps them in so many ways and just because of the negative people who comment harsh things on posts doesn't mean that they should ban it from everyone. People do really use anonymous posting to help them in life and taking it away might cause more stress and anxiety rather than leaving it. Now anonymous posting is also not just positive it causes much stress over harsh things people do end up posting but because of this it should not ruin it for others who use it in helpful ways. Eventually the negative posts will die down from trolls because not everything can last long it usually fades away and it we focus attention on the problem that will just lead the commenters to keep posting negative thoughts. All in all things will die down and negative commenting won't be a focus anymore which could change everyone's thoughts on anonymous posting in general.

I honestly feel the same way before we started this unit I didn't really have much knowledge on what anonymous posting really was and how deep it really gets behind screens. This whole unit has been really eye-opening, revealing the positives that come with anonymity and also the negatives. For the positives whether it be asking questions about health issues, online dating, or improving or protecting the community there are lots of things. To the negatives whether it be harassment on social media, to identity theft, to political activity, there is such a broad variety of what you may come across on the internet and anonymity. I'm actually really glad I got to see perspectives of things that occur on the internet, it's really cool when you get to learn new things everyday about things you never had a clue or thought about.
