Reflection

This unit about online anonymity and trolls has showed me that anonymity has a positive and a negative side. For example, when anonymity is only used for trolling and causing harm it's a negative thing, but if it is used to answer personal questions or used to help. Then it is a positive outcome. Sadly, when people discuss anonymity they usually relate it to online trolling and trolling is seen as a harmful doing. Many online users want to take away  anonymity because they believe that it will rid of trolling. In reality, taking away anonymity won't stop trolls from trolling. The reason why trolls are out there is because they explicitly show how our society really is. Therefore, the only way to rid of trolling is by improving our society and it's negative habits.
