College

1. When entering college would it be better to pay for a parking permit and drive everywhere or to ride a bicycle where it is cheaper?
- I believe it depends whether if you live in or out of state. Also, some colleges require that you do not drive the first year of college and stay on campus. Parking permits on the other hand can get quit expensive depending where you go. I visited Arizona State University and the parking permit pass would cost me from 500-800 dollars a year to park in the lot. There would be many pros and cons in either decision.

2. Would it be cheaper if you ate on or off campus?
- I believe they would be nearly the same thing. Some colleges provide a card to put money on it per month that will provide you with the necessary meals you need. If you eat out, whenever you want then that will add up depending on where you go and what you eat. I would go with the schools meal plan and save a little bit more money because you are already paying thousands of dollars.

  1. I agree that in driving or biking there would be many pros and cons. I know that where my sister goes to college, it's a lot easier to ride a bicycle because everyone thrives on this huge biking community. But on the other hand, there's a lot of times where she needs to go somewhere farther and has no way to get there, so I think driving would be really helpful, but otherwise, biking or taking a bus might help save money and gas.

  2. I think it would be cheaper to eat off campus because you are able to view a larger variety of prices. I would get sick of seeing the same selection of foods on campus.

  4. I would think that it is better to eat off campus as there are way more options for you and you don't even have to go places to eat since you could just make whatever you want to eat yourself, that is what I would do sometimes. Although buying food is a lot more convenient and easier to get when you're on the rush.

  5. I totally agree with the riding a bike or skateboard around campus would be much cheaper and less stressful. I have some family friends who are attending college currently and even though they have a parking pass they can barley find any parking before class or close to the dorm they are staying in. Most of the time they have to leave earlier to try and find a parking spot due it being so crowded.

  6. I honestly think both eating on campus whether it be in your dorm or in a restaurant on campus, or going off campus to eat is the same. Just switch it up every once in awhile try new things, go to your favorite places, etc. None of us know how to really cook any meals by our self except for like grilled cheese and cup of noodles,so until then when we learn and perfect family recipes we mostly just go out and eat.
