Q1: Should I still apply for fafsa even though I don't think I'll get any money ?
A1: I've been asking my friends how much money they have gotten from fafsa. Most of them either haven't been getting any or not much at all. Maybe I should still try and apply just in case I have a chance at getting some money
Q2: Would going to a trade school be more beneficial than going to a JC or University when trying to become a nurse ?
A2: While volunteering at the hospital I have been able to talk to many nurses about their journey. Many have gone to college and few to trade schools. One nurse recommended not going to a trade school because it is very expensive and it's very hard to get financial. But some nurse say it's gets you to your career quicker. So it's hard to decide what path to take.
I was thinking about the Fafsa question too and after asking around I think the best option is to just apply and see what happens. You can't be hurt by applying so only good can come out of it. Even if you get a little bit of money that can can help out and if you don't get anything then no harm has been done.
ReplyDeleteBecause nursing is becoming a more competitive career, I'd say it might be more beneficial to attend a 4 year school and major in nursing rather than only receiving an AA by going to a trade school. If you receive a bachelors in nursing, it may make you seem more competitive or qualified when you apply for a job further down the line.

ReplyDeleteI have the same concern as well. I asked around and they said it does not hurt to try and apply. The most they can do is say no. Also, you never know the outcome with the money, if they give you a little bit, at least it will help take off a little of the cost.
ReplyDeleteI think about the fafsa too. I'm still going to apply for it because i heard that anything helps when you're in college. It's true that anything helps and I don't have much momey so why not. I think you should just apply for it.
