Gethen is planet that is not the usual. The people are not usual the weather is not completely barable. Genly Ai comes from a planet that as you would think is earth. There is genders and all. He left to Gethen to something he is not used to. Over time he has no one that he can trust and vice versa and the weather is something he can not seem to handle at all. He is all alone and does not have anyone but maybe that will change. Everyone trusts genly a little but he will not trust estraven for awhile.

Well later on in the book Genly starts to show his trust into Estraven as he sees whole different side to him. Something that he isnt use to seeing in Estraven. Also as Estraven tries to get Genly safely back into Karhide. This makes Genly have to put his complete trust into Estraven at this moment that he will get Genly safely back to Karhide.
ReplyDeleteGenly's relationship with Estraven is somewhat complicated. Although, I've been thinking if maybe there's a whole other planet up close just like Gethen but different in a way that the culture & way of life might be the same. However, Genly doesn't really have a choice but to trust him.
